Many people complain about what the government does. Federal, state and local it doesn’t matter they are all complained about. The people have forgotten what the Constitution says, “Of the people, for the people, by the people.” So the title question remains, do you use your voice?
If you speak out against something to officials in local, state or federal government then you do not approve of what they are doing. If you support something and tell those same officials then you are counted as a supporter. If you’re like the majority of people and say nothing either in support or against what is about to be done or has been done then you are counted as one who doesn’t care.
Now ask yourself which group are you in? I know that members of the local government know my email address and my name, so do state governments from coast to coast, the federal government knows me because every member of congress has heard from me so has the White House. My voice has been heard, perhaps not among the majority but it has been heard. Has yours?
When I ask complainers if they have been heard they tell me it doesn’t matter because they do what they want anyway. If they know most people don’t support them or what they are doing they will look forward to reelection. Without your votes they know they will not be in office again so they will do what they need to so your support come election day is theirs.
Speak up and be heard!
