The Egyptian god leading the soul to the afterlife.
The black jackal head showed him as lord of embalming and protector of the grave.
Time brought him through history as one of the most portrayed of the pantheon.
You can add one to his total because here he is in full glory.
He became god of funerals and death.
Will he be seeing over mine?
The love of dogs continues today.
Since he is shown as a jackal, a breed of dog, is he still loved?
He hasn’t been at my door or on my balcony.
So safe from his judgment to determine if I’m worthy of an afterlife.
Should barking or howling be done to provide a positive influence?
Then maybe more modern beliefs might work too.
What do you think?
